Butcher
10-20 hours per week, must be able to work Saturdays.
Wage: £12.71-£13.46 per hour dependent on experience
We are looking for a talented, proactive individual to join our team - serving customers and butchering - preparing joints & cuts, breaking down carcasses, slicing bacon, making products, preparing and packaging orders.
Ideally we are looking for an experienced butcher with bone in butchery experience, however we will provide training if necessary for the right candidate for example if the candidate had butchery experience through cheffing.
Responsibilities
Breaking down carcasses
Making sausages, bacon, ham, pastrami, pies, sausage rolls
Slicing bacon & pastrami
Serving customers and maintaining our high standard of customer service, that goes above and beyond – providing cooking advice, answering customer queries and ensuring we have a wide variety of products available for them
Working efficiently through a daily list either on your own and as part of the team
Following verbal instructions and printed recipes accurately
Ensuring stock rotation is maintained
Setting up window and counter displays - cutting and displaying meat to a high standard
Striving to minimise waste and utilise everything
Making sure all paperwork such as temperature and cooking logs is completed, and products are correctly labelled including for allergens and prioritising good food hygiene and health and safety practices
Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
Person Specification and desirable skills
Butchery experience - either as a trained butcher or through cheffing
Be physically fit enough to lift carcasses and be on your feet all day
Effectively communicates with other staff and management
Be able to work safely and tidily in a busy environment, and effectively work in stressful situations.
Exceptional customer service skills and butchery knowledge to be able to effectively advise customers on the best cuts of meat, cooking guidelines and allergen information
Be a team player and have a solution purposed mind set
Able to take on extra hours at Christmas
Happily take on new duties as the needs of the business grow and change
Proof of ability to work in the UK
Delivery Driver
Tuesday to Friday 10-15 hours per week, £12.71 per hour.
Role Overview
Assist with prepping and packing daily catering and wholesale orders then delivering them to our restaurant and café customers.
Key Duties & Attributes
Load and unload meat products, including heavy lifting of pork, beef and lamb carcasses
Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain the van
Keep accurate delivery records and complete paperwork correctly
Follow instructions with strong attention to detail
Qualifications
Aged 30+ with a full, clean UK driving licence held for at least 5 years
No accidents in the last 5 years
Previous delivery/van-driving experience
Good English and Maths skills
Legally able to work in the UK
Safe, compliant vehicle operation

Works safely, cleanly and effectively under pressure
Good communication with staff and management
Hours
10–15 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday, with extra hours as needed, especially at Christmas.
