We love beer & meat...probably why we love our jobs!
Part-Time Production Assistant
Block & Bottle is the UK’s first dedicated butchery and craft beer shop located in Gateshead. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our small team as a production assistant. We are obsessive about good quality meat and beer, and in order to be considered for this role you must share our passion!
All our meat is free range and is sourced as locally as possible, from Durham and North Yorkshire with the majority being rare breeds. We buy in whole carcass and break it down on site as well as making our own sausages, burgers and bacon from scratch. We also have a second company called Meat Salt Smoke where we produce a range of charcuterie, salami and cured produce.
We need someone to join our team to help us on both the beer and meat sides – helping us produce the huge range of products for Block & Bottle and Meat Salt Smoke, serving customers and (if you hold a driving license) helping to deliver orders.
We want someone who is enthusiastic, clean and tidy, doesn’t get flustered under pressure, is able to follow recipes and direction, uses their initiative and who loves great food and drink.
You must be able to demonstrate you have right to work in the UK. Previous experience for this role is not necessarily required and you do not need to be 18. If you are aged 16 to 18 you would not be expected to demonstrate any knowledge or understanding about beer.
